Research Computing System at CPR

CPR's research computing system consists of Sun SPARC based servers, workstations, and IBM-compatible desktop PCs. The desktop PCs are allocated with each office having at least one machine available. IN addition, "public" use PCs are available in common areas. The following is a brief summary of features:

  • Sun Ultra Enterprise 300 server with 4x250Mhz UltraSPARC CPUs

  • Sun SPARC 10 multi-CPU server for Web Services

  • 100+ Gigabytes of online disk storage space

  • Up-to-date econometric and statistic software programs

  • In-house technical support and training

  • Connected to University T3 Internet connection

  • Windows XP running on all office PCs connected to Windows 2003 server

  • Beowulf Computer Cluster
