Publications
Research done under the auspices of the Center for Policy Research has been published in a variety of books, scholarly journals, government documents, and research reports. The Center also publishes papers that circulate research findings to researchers and libraries around the world (see list below). Topics are varied and reflect the wide-ranging activities CPR has undertaken.
The Metropolitan Studies Program Series contains over 190 titles, over one-third of which have been authored by CPR graduate associates. The Income Security Policy Series was initiated in 1992, the Aging Studies Program Series in 1994, and the Microsimulation Paper Series in 1995. In 1999, the CPR Working Paper Series was introduced to provide an outlet for research findings not specifically suited to any of our other series—e.g., education finance, econometric issues, public management issues, demographic research, and public finance, more generally.
A series of Policy Briefs by senior Center associates and focusing on public policy issues also began in 1994. This series includes the text of the annual Herbert Lourie Memorial Lecture on Health Policy, co-sponsored by the Maxwell School and the Central New York Community Foundation. The text from the Distinguished Lecturer in Aging Series is also available at this site. Almost all of the publications in the series listed below are available in PDF format, which can be downloaded, viewed, and printed using a FREE copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Hard copies of all publications may also be ordered at a nominal cost ($5.00 US). For more information on ordering a publication, please contact the Publications Officer, Center for Policy Research, 426 Eggers Hall, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY 13244-1020, or e-mail our Publications Officer at puboff@maxwell.syr.edu.
